I’ve Been Painted - Yes, my building has been painted, and…yours is probably next! My purpose for writing this short post is two-fold: First, I just wanted to make a couple of observations about the painting process…

Alert…Residents…Alert - This Alert is intended for Residents using the parking areas along the wall separating our Community and the Water Plant.

Painting Points
The painting of our buildings has begun and a couple of questions have been raised concerning the project: Residents have pointed out that the building colors have now changed. Their question is: Do our Condo Docs allow this change without a vote and a majority consensus?

Admonished - In the last few months, our Board has sought a legal opinion on this Website and lost (all Residents paid for that opinion of course)…challenged the delivery of fliers door-to-door that was upheld and labeled as soliciting (we believe this can be challenged)…and is now restricting the handing out of fliers (using their table) at Board Meetings.

44 Violations
The Friends of Chasewood documented some 44 Parking Violations and forwarded them to our Board and Parking Committee via our Property Manager on March 21, 2011.

KudosKudos to the Parking Committee person that tagged two (2) vehicles for parking violations last night. The vehicles were cited for lack of either a parking decal and/or displaying a visitor tag.

A complete list of 2010 posts can be found
in a menu on the right side of this page.

We have disabled the comments section on these posts. Here’s our philosophy for 2011…It’s a new year with a new board (not really)…As issues are brought to our attention, we will generate new posts allowing your comments, as well as referring to our archived 2010 posts.

In the meantime, all of the issues, posts, and comments made in 2010 will remain available to all of our Residents. We will not delete them. Unfortunately, the issues we previously documented have not been resolved, and remain a sore spot with many of our Residents.

We will continue to be a catalyst, a watch dog, and an advocate for our Community.

- You Can View And Leave A General Comment -

Here’s you chance to “sound off” or make a truly constructive comment or observation. Just use the “Add A Comment” button on the right side of this Site.

Or…You can just view the Posts we have published and leave a comment at the very bottom of each Post.

Although your “First Name” and “Email Address” are required to leave a comment (this eliminates spam robots from leaving comments), your name or “Email Address” are not published anywhere.

All comments are reviewed, edited, and screened, prior to publishing. So, if you tell me to go to “Hell”…I’ll probably do some creative editing.

There are currently a number of comments from Residents that have been approved and are ready for viewing.

In the weeks and months ahead…I will be adding news, views, documentation, complaints, and opinions supplied by the Residents of our community.

This Website and the action we will be taking is a direct result of the Board of Directors meeting of March 23, 2010 and the actions and general attitude of our Board Members and the Property Manager.

Many of us left the meeting, feeling frustrated, upset, confused, and even demeaned. Some vowed to never attend another meeting again. My purpose is to convince you to continue attending the meetings, convince other Residents to participate, and to convince as many of you as possible, to become proactive in the management of our community.

We have serious problems…and we need your help to correct them!

We have created a one page flier explaining our position that can be used as a hand out, or as an attachment using email. We would appreciate any help getting the word out about this Site and it’s objectives. You can Click Here to view the document.

The rules for operating this Website have been established to protect all of the Residents of Chasewood. My contact information is readily available (as it should be) and listed on a number of pages should you need to contact me. That being said, here are the rules…

1. Resident names, addresses, and contact information are never used or published. In all cases the generic will be used such as Resident, or something similar.

2. Board Member, Property Manager, and Property Management Company names and information will never be used or published.  The generic name(s) will be used such as Members of the Board, Board Members, Property Manager, and Property Management Company, or something similar.

3. All Residents may contribute suggestions, problems, ideas, or documents to this Website. For now, feel free to email me using my posted email address.  I will edit all contributions and eliminate your name and the name of others. The only exception is…You may request your name be used with your submission. Remember in doing so, you are publishing information directly on the Internet. While this may be our overall objective and intent, there are some things we don’t want public. I’ll be happy to do a quick review for you and eliminate any potential problems

You can Click Here or use the Sign Up tab on the right to receive up-to-date community information. You will be asked to confirm your information in an automated follow-up email (this is called opt-in). This is totally voluntary and your choice. This reduces the burden on my Hotmail account and eliminates the possibility it will be shut down. Personal email accounts should never be used to communicate and inform large groups of people.

We will use your information to keep you informed as to our progress, and to notify everyone when there are major changes to this Site, and major happenings in our community. This eliminates all of my costs associated with printing, copying, and using snail mail. We will never sell your information and we will never use it to Spam you. You are given the opportunity to opt-out at the bottom of every email we send you.

We will be adding additional content, facts, features, and a number of improvements to help keep you informed. We hope you’ll stick with us…
